What we collect
- An account ID, created automatically when you open Padi.
- Your name and phone number, when you sign up as an organiser, so members know who is collecting.
- Your email, only if you choose to save your account or buy Padi Plus, so your groups and Plus work on other devices. We send a sign-in code to it and payment receipts; no marketing without your consent.
- Payment records: what was bought or paid through Padi, the amount, and the payment reference. Card and bank details are entered with Flutterwave, Apple or Google and never reach Padi.
- Vendor listings: the business name, city, WhatsApp number and description a vendor submits to be shown publicly.
- The lists you create: names, optional phone numbers, amounts, bank details you enter for receiving payments, and who has paid.
- "I don pay" confirmations from members, with an optional payment screenshot.
- Fabric pictures an organiser adds to an aso-ebi list. These are shown to everyone with the list's link.
- Voice assistant links: if you connect Alexa or the Padi phone line, the device or phone number you linked, so Padi can read out your own groups.
- Basic usage counts, such as when the app is opened or a reminder is sent, and the type of device.
How we use it
Your lists are stored on your phone and synced to our servers so the people you share a link with can see them. Phone numbers are never shown on the shared link; they are only used to open WhatsApp on your own phone.
Padi does not hold or invest money. When a member pays on the link, Flutterwave processes the card or transfer and settles it straight into the collector's bank account; Padi only receives its service charge.
Who can see your lists
Only you, and anyone you send the list's link to. Payment screenshots are stored at private, random addresses that are only shown to the list's organiser. We do not sell your data. Data is stored with our hosting provider (Supabase). Payments are processed by Flutterwave on the web and on payment links, and by Apple or Google for purchases inside the apps, under their own privacy policies.
Deleting your data
Deleting a list in the app deletes it from our servers. To delete your whole account and everything in it, open Padi, tap ✨ Plus on the home screen, then Delete my account. You can also ask us to delete it.
